Behavioral UX audits that show why users drop off
Science of Apps uses behavioral psychology to find where users stop, hesitate and leave your app or SaaS product, and what to fix first. Evidence, not guesswork.
The Gap
Most teams optimize for features. Users respond to psychology.
Modern apps are built by highly capable teams. Yet many struggle with retention, engagement, and conversion despite strong functionality and beautiful design.

FAQs
We’ve Got the Answers
You’re Looking For
Everything you need to know about our behavioural diagnostic process.
What exactly is a behavioural psychology diagnosis?
Unlike a standard UX review that focuses on usability and aesthetics, our diagnosis looks at the underlying psychological drivers of user action. We identify cognitive load, decision friction, and emotional responses that cause users to drop off or disengage.
How is this different from a standard UX audit?
UX audits often focus on 'what' is wrong (e.g., 'this button is hard to find'). We focus on 'why' it's happening at a human level. We use established behavioural theories to explain user choices and provide precise, evidence-based improvements rather than just opinions.
What kind of apps do you work with?
We work with startups, scale-ups, and enterprises across various industries—from fintech and health-tech to social platforms and e-commerce. Any digital product that relies on consistent user engagement can benefit from a behavioural lens.
How long does a typical engagement take?
A standard diagnosis typically spans 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the product and the number of pillars being evaluated. This includes setup, detailed evaluation, and the final synthesis and reporting phase.
Do you help with the actual implementation of changes?
Our primary deliverable is a structured findings report and prioritised roadmap. The Growth tier adds two weeks of async Q&A support, and the Enterprise tier includes 30 days of implementation support, working with your product and design teams so the behavioural insights are translated correctly into the product.
How much does a UX audit for an app cost?
Prices are set by country. In India, our fixed-scope behavioural UX audits cost ₹85,000 for a single product flow or onboarding (Starter), ₹1,95,000 for full product flows plus a funnel audit (Growth) and from ₹4,50,000 for multi-product or platform-wide work (Enterprise); in the US they cost $2,900, $6,650 and from $15,350. The pricing section shows the price for your country. Every tier ends with prioritised fixes.
Do you audit both mobile apps and SaaS web products?
Yes. We evaluate iOS and Android apps, SaaS web apps and product websites. The diagnosis focuses on the journeys that matter most to growth — onboarding, activation, conversion, engagement and retention — whatever the platform.
Which countries do you work with?
We are based in New Delhi, India, and work remotely with product, growth and design teams in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and across the European Union.
