About this skill

About ATS keyword check

Good candidates are often filtered out because their resume uses different words from the job post. This skill extracts the hard skills, tools, certifications and titles from a job description, checks each against your resume including synonyms, and gives a simple match percentage with the formula shown. It splits missing keywords into must-have and nice-to-have and flags formatting that parsers struggle with, such as tables, columns and text inside images. Add keywords only where they're true. To use it, paste the skill into your assistant and send your resume text and the job description; the reply is laid out as “Match %”, “Missing keywords: must-have / nice-to-have” and “Formatting issues”.
