About this skill

About Vendor comparison

Choosing a vendor turns into a debate when options aren't compared on the same criteria. This skill converts your priorities into weighted criteria, scores each vendor from one to five with reasons, computes weighted totals and total cost of ownership over three years, and recommends one — showing the maths and marking scores that rest on assumptions. It also lists what to negotiate with the winner. The comparison makes the decision transparent to finance and leadership. To use it, paste the skill into your assistant and send the vendors, their quotes or features, and what matters to you; the reply is laid out as “Criteria and weights”, “Scoring table” and “Total cost of ownership”.
