About this skill

About Structured interview kit

Unstructured interviews are inconsistent and predict job performance poorly; structured ones are fairer and more reliable. This skill builds a kit from your job description and key competencies: two behavioural questions per competency, follow-up probes, a one-to-five scoring guide describing weak, good and strong answers, and a split of questions across interviewers. It includes a reminder of questions you must not ask, such as those about age, religion, marital status or pregnancy. To use it, paste the skill into your assistant and send the job description and the three to five competencies that matter most; the reply is laid out as “Competencies”, “Questions with probes” and “Scoring guide”.
