What does the JLPT Practice Test (N5–N1) cover?
Three skill areas with five questions each, drawn from a bank of 10 per area so a retake brings new questions: 文字・語彙 (Kanji readings, Vocabulary and Word usage); 文法 (Particles, Verb forms and Grammar patterns); 読解・試験 (Reading notices, Inference and Test format). Japanese learner, Student applying to Japanese universities, Professional working with Japan, Specified Skilled Worker applicant and Teacher of Japanese. It suits anyone who wants a quick, verifiable way to show JLPT skills, from students and career switchers to experienced professionals.
Which JLPT level should I take?
N5 is the easiest (basic Japanese) and N1 the hardest (Japanese used in a broad range of circumstances). Many employers and visa routes ask for N2 or N3; Japanese universities often ask for N2 or N1. The JLPT tests language knowledge, reading and listening — it has no speaking or writing section — and is held in July and December.
Is this the official JLPT exam?
No. It is an independent practice test written to the publicly available JLPT content outline, for checking your readiness before you book the real exam. Science of Apps is not affiliated with The Japan Foundation and JEES, and passing earns a Science of Apps certificate rather than the official credential.
Can I take the JLPT Practice Test (N5–N1) from any country?

How can an employer verify my certificate?
Every certificate has a credential ID and a QR code. Scanning it, or entering the ID at scienceofapps.com/certification/verify/, shows the holder's name, the certification, the score and the issue date from our records.
Are these accredited qualifications?
