C Programming Certification Test

Tests applied C programming skill — types, operators and control flow, pointers, arrays and strings, memory management and structs, and files, the preprocessor and safe C — to the C17/C23 standard and the SEI CERT C guidelines, as asked in 2026 and 2027 developer interviews. Pass to earn C Programming SOA-CPR.

What is the C Programming Certification Test?

2026–2027 skills: pointers and memory, arrays and strings, structs, functions, and file I/O and undefined behaviour.

The C Programming Certification Test is a free intermediate-level, 20-minute skill test from Science of Apps. It tests applied C programming skill — types, operators and control flow, pointers, arrays and strings, memory management and structs, and files, the preprocessor and safe C — to the C17/C23 standard and the SEI CERT C guidelines, as asked in 2026 and 2027 developer interviews. Score 70% or more on its 20 questions to earn a verifiable C Programming certificate (SOA-CPR). Every question is based on published standards and research — including C reference (cppreference.com), SEI CERT C Coding Standard (Carnegie Mellon University SEI), ISO/IEC 9899 C programming language (C17/C23) (ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG14) — and each answer is explained with its source.

Is a C programming certificate useful in 2026?

Yes for embedded, systems, firmware and security roles, where C is still the core language. A verifiable result helps you show memory-safety and pointer skills that interviews probe.

Can I take the C Programming Certification Test from any country?

Yes. The test is online, in English and free everywhere — people take it from India, the US, the UK, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Your certificate is dated with your own local date and can be verified from anywhere at scienceofapps.com/certification/verify/.

What happens if I don't pass?

You see your score for each area and every question with the correct answer and why, with the published source behind it. You can retake after 30 minutes, and the retake draws questions you haven't seen yet.

How can an employer verify my certificate?

Every certificate has a credential ID and a QR code. Scanning it, or entering the ID at scienceofapps.com/certification/verify/, shows the holder's name, the certification, the score and the issue date from our records.
