Where can I take a free Enneagram test online?

Science of Apps offers a free Enneagram Test, updated for 2026 and 2027. It measures the nine types, wings, and stress and growth lines and what your type means at work and gives instant results with a shareable certificate.

How do I take the Enneagram Test for free?

Start it on this page — no fee or sign-up. Answer all 54 items honestly (about 11 minutes, untimed), then see your profile with a score for every scale. Add your name to get a verifiable Enneagram Type Profile result card, on screen, as a PDF and by email.

How does the Enneagram Test work?

You answer 54 short items about how you usually think, feel and act. There are no right or wrong answers. Your answers are scored on 9 scales — Type 1: The Reformer, Type 2: The Helper, Type 3: The Achiever, Type 4: The Individualist, Type 5: The Investigator, Type 6: The Loyalist, Type 7: The Enthusiast, Type 8: The Challenger and Type 9: The Peacemaker — and you get your core type and wing, with what each scale means.

Who is the Enneagram Test for?

People exploring personal growth, Coaches and therapists using the Enneagram, Teams building understanding, Spiritual and leadership development groups and Anyone curious about their type. It is a self-report tool for self-awareness, team conversations and career exploration in 2026 and 2027 — not a clinical or diagnostic test, and not a reason on its own to hire or reject anyone.

What is the Enneagram?

A model of nine personality types, each driven by a core motivation and fear, arranged on a nine-pointed symbol. Your wing is the neighbouring type (on either side of yours) whose traits also show up strongly in you, written as 5w4 or 5w6.

How accurate are online Enneagram tests?

Treat the result as a hypothesis. Read the descriptions of your top two or three types; most people recognise their type by its core motivation rather than its behaviours. Research support for the Enneagram is more limited than for the Big Five.

Can I take the Enneagram Test from any country?

Yes. The test is online, in English and free everywhere — people take it from India, the US, the UK, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Your certificate is dated with your own local date and can be verified from anywhere at scienceofapps.com/certification/verify/.

How long is the Enneagram Test?

54 items, untimed — most people finish in about 11 minutes. Answer with your first instinct; there is no pass mark.

Can I fail the Enneagram Test?

No. It is a self-report inventory, not an exam: every honest answer is valid, and your result describes your preferences rather than your ability. Answer as you usually are, not as you think you should be.

How much do Science of Apps certifications cost?

Nothing. There is no fee to take a test, to receive the certificate, to have it emailed or to verify it, and no sign-up.

How are the tests graded?

On our server, not in your browser. The answers never reach the page until you submit, so a certificate can only be earned by passing. Each certificate gets a unique credential ID stored by Science of Apps.

What happens if I don't pass?

You see your score for each area and every question with the correct answer and why, with the published source behind it. You can retake after 30 minutes, and the retake draws questions you haven't seen yet.

Do the certificates expire?

No. Every certificate is dated, so it always shows when you passed. Retake a test any time for a newer date or a higher score.

Can I add the certificate to LinkedIn?

Yes. After you pass, Add to LinkedIn opens the Licenses & certifications form with the certificate name, Science of Apps as the issuer, the issue date, your credential ID and the verification link filled in. You can also download it as a PDF or PNG, and it's emailed to you as a PDF.

How can an employer verify my certificate?

Every certificate has a credential ID and a QR code. Scanning it, or entering the ID at scienceofapps.com/certification/verify/, shows the holder's name, the certification, the score and the issue date from our records.

Are these accredited qualifications?

No. They are Science of Apps' own assessments of applied skill. They aren't issued by a university or standards body, and they work best alongside a portfolio that shows the skills in real work.
