Where can I take a free Holland Code Career test online?

Science of Apps offers a free Holland Code Career Test, updated for 2026 and 2027. It measures your realistic, investigative, and artistic and gives instant results with a shareable certificate.

How do I take the Holland Code Career Test (RIASEC) for free?

Start it on this page — no fee or sign-up. Answer all 60 items honestly (about 12 minutes, untimed), then see your profile with a score for every scale. Add your name to get a verifiable Career Interest Profile (RIASEC) result card, on screen, as a PDF and by email.

How does the Holland Code Career Test (RIASEC) work?

You answer 60 short items about how you usually think, feel and act. There are no right or wrong answers. Your answers are scored on 6 scales — Realistic (Doers), Investigative (Thinkers), Artistic (Creators), Social (Helpers), Enterprising (Persuaders) and Conventional (Organisers) — and you get a three-letter Holland code (your top three interest areas), with what each scale means.

Who is the Holland Code Career Test (RIASEC) for?

Students choosing a course or career, Career changers, School and career counsellors, Graduates exploring first jobs and Adults planning a next step. It is a self-report tool for self-awareness, team conversations and career exploration in 2026 and 2027 — not a clinical or diagnostic test, and not a reason on its own to hire or reject anyone.

What is a Holland code?

A three-letter code made from your top three RIASEC interest types, such as SAE or RIC. Holland's theory says people are most satisfied in work environments that match their interests, and O*NET links every occupation to a Holland code.

How do I use my Holland code?

Look up occupations with the same or similar codes (O*NET OnLine lists them), then check each one's skills, training and outlook. Your code is a starting point for exploration, not a verdict on what you can do.

Can I take the Holland Code Career Test (RIASEC) from any country?

Yes. The test is online, in English and free everywhere — people take it from India, the US, the UK, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Your certificate is dated with your own local date and can be verified from anywhere at scienceofapps.com/certification/verify/.

How long is the Holland Code Career Test (RIASEC)?

60 items, untimed — most people finish in about 12 minutes. Answer with your first instinct; there is no pass mark.

Can I fail the Holland Code Career Test (RIASEC)?

No. It is a self-report inventory, not an exam: every honest answer is valid, and your result describes your preferences rather than your ability. Answer as you usually are, not as you think you should be.

How much do Science of Apps certifications cost?

Nothing. There is no fee to take a test, to receive the certificate, to have it emailed or to verify it, and no sign-up.

How are the tests graded?

On our server, not in your browser. The answers never reach the page until you submit, so a certificate can only be earned by passing. Each certificate gets a unique credential ID stored by Science of Apps.

What happens if I don't pass?

You see your score for each area and every question with the correct answer and why, with the published source behind it. You can retake after 30 minutes, and the retake draws questions you haven't seen yet.

Do the certificates expire?

No. Every certificate is dated, so it always shows when you passed. Retake a test any time for a newer date or a higher score.

Can I add the certificate to LinkedIn?

Yes. After you pass, Add to LinkedIn opens the Licenses & certifications form with the certificate name, Science of Apps as the issuer, the issue date, your credential ID and the verification link filled in. You can also download it as a PDF or PNG, and it's emailed to you as a PDF.

How can an employer verify my certificate?

Every certificate has a credential ID and a QR code. Scanning it, or entering the ID at scienceofapps.com/certification/verify/, shows the holder's name, the certification, the score and the issue date from our records.

Are these accredited qualifications?

No. They are Science of Apps' own assessments of applied skill. They aren't issued by a university or standards body, and they work best alongside a portfolio that shows the skills in real work.
