Is an online forklift test enough to operate a forklift?

No. OSHA 1910.178(l) requires formal instruction, practical training and an evaluation of your driving by a qualified person at your workplace. This test checks the knowledge part and gives you a certificate showing it — your employer certifies you to drive.

How often must forklift operators be re-evaluated?

At least once every three years, and sooner after an accident, a near miss, unsafe operation or a change of truck or workplace (1910.178(l)(4)).

Can I take the Forklift Certification Test from any country?

You see your score for each area and every question with the correct answer and why, with the published source behind it. You can retake after 30 minutes, and the retake draws questions you haven't seen yet.
