What does the Cricket Analytics Certification cover?

Four skill areas with five questions each, drawn from a bank of 10 per area so a retake brings new questions: Formats and Metrics (Formats and laws, Batting metrics and Bowling metrics); Strategy and Data (Phases and matchups, Ball-tracking and Toss and captaincy); Models, Value and Auctions (DLS and win probability, Player valuation and Fielding and fitness); Tools, Leagues and Practice (Data and tools, Franchise leagues and Ethics and communication). Cricket analyst or performance analyst, Coach, selector or scout, Fantasy or broadcast analyst, Franchise strategy or auction analyst and Sports analytics student. It suits students at leading universities, career switchers and experienced professionals who want quick, verifiable proof of Cricket Analytics knowledge in 2026 and 2027.

Why take the Cricket Analytics Certification in 2027?

Math, stats and economics majors are drawn to sports analytics, social-good data work and geospatial science. Passing earns a founder-signed Science of Apps certificate with a credential ID and QR code that recruiters can verify.

What does the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method do?

DLS sets revised targets in rain-affected limited-overs matches by estimating the resources (overs and wickets) each team had available, so interruptions are handled fairly.

Why do T20 analysts split matches into phases?

Scoring rates, field restrictions and risk differ greatly between the powerplay, middle overs and death overs, so player roles and value are best judged phase by phase.

Can I take the Cricket Analytics Certification from any country?

Yes. The test is online, in English and free everywhere — people take it from India, the US, the UK, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Your certificate is dated with your own local date and can be verified from anywhere at scienceofapps.com/certification/verify/.

How are the tests graded?

On our server, not in your browser. The answers never reach the page until you submit, so a certificate can only be earned by passing. Each certificate gets a unique credential ID stored by Science of Apps.

What happens if I don't pass?

You see your score for each area and every question with the correct answer and why, with the published source behind it. You can retake after 30 minutes, and the retake draws questions you haven't seen yet.
